Each unit functions as a learning situation and poses a challenging, overarching question at the start. By the end of each learning situation, students can integrate the knowledge they have acquired using the full range of skills to reflect on the initial question.

Burlington Skills provides solid preparation for university entrance exams and First, while consolidating general language skills with Exam Practice sections in both the Student’s Book and Workbook.

In line with LOMLOE requirements, Burlington Skills presents meaningful real-life contexts for learning, while integrating the full range of competences, such as plurilingualism, social awareness and critical thinking. There is a strong emphasis on mediation and interaction tasks throughout each unit, as well as in the Cultural Interaction appendix.

Students focus on developing specific life skills in depth, which they apply in collaborative projects. These skills will be useful beyond the classroom.
