Stevenson’s famous novel is set in the Highlands of Scotland in the middle of the 18th century and tells the story of young David Balfour. David, an orphan, has a series of adventures including an attempted murder by his uncle, a kidnapping and a shipwreck. Finally, with the help of his friend, Alan Stewart, David manages to right the wrongs which have been done to him.
