Young Mary Lennox’s parents die of cholera and she is sent to her uncle’s gloomy mansion in the English countryside. Mary is bored and lonely. One day, she discovers a hidden door to a secret garden, but is afraid to go inside. Then Mary meets a strange boy, Colin, who’s got a mysterious illness. Together, they visit the secret garden and this fascinating place gives Colin the desire to get better.
