BIR – Overcoming Adversity B2

Christy Brown was born with cerebral palsy and could only use his left foot, yet he learnt to draw and write, showing great determination. Artist Frida Kahlo, injured in a tragic accident, turned her pain into powerful artwork. Erik Weihenmayer was the first blind person to summit Mount Everest. He also kayaked in the Grand Canyon and co-founded a movement helping people overcome adversity. Their stories prove that courage, talent and hard work can overcome any adversity.
