Rudolf, the new King of Ruritania, is drugged on the eve of his coronation by his evil brother, Prince Michael. Desperate to prevent Michael from claiming the throne, the King’s servants persuade Rudolf Rassendyll, an English cousin, to impersonate King Rudolf at the coronation.
